MISB Tiger Force – Tiger Paw

This new buy gets its own post because Tiger Force is my absolute favorite sub-team. Tiger Force is also the only set that I am collecting MOC and MIB. While I have a loose set of everything, I am still trying to acquire a MIB US Tiger Fly as well as a MIB US Tiger Sting. (I lost out on eBay for both of those at $192 and 189 respectively. Couldnt make myself bid higher than those amounts.) And until this afternoon, a US MIB Tiger Paw was also missing from my collection. Well I picked one of these up in a winning eBay auction, that I actually forgot to watch for the final seconds! AND as a bonus, I bought this one, right after I lost out on another one of these 2 days ago, where I made the unfortunate winner pay $138 for his (he just kept bidding and bidding), while the one I just won was a STEAL at $75 shipped! Enjoy! Oh I also have some awesome TF stuff on the way that I will post up when it arrives!

Some eBay Auctions I Won

I added to more items to the growing collection. First up in a MIB Tiger Rat. I have posted several times on here about my love and appreciation of Tiger Force. It really caught my eye as a kid and became my absolute favorite Joe sub-team. This gets added to the collection of MOC and MIB TF stuff I have collected. I now only need the Tiger Paw for a complete MIB collection of the vehicles. I have all the TF figures MOC (except for the international ones, the prices on those $600 and up are not something I want to splurge on yet.) This auction had really good timing because of the David Jensen estate auctions. He was a no-name collector who amassed a HUGE collection. His estate’s auctions got front paged on http://www.Hisstank.com and the prices rose too high and all the auctions went for a premium. So while others had to pay as much as $213, I got my for less than half of that.

Next up is a 1983 Hiss Tank Driver prototype (Edit: this is more likely the 2000 Rip It test shot, because the plastic appears to be different than that used in the 80s.) It is a first/test shot of the figure. It will go nicely with the growing prototype collection I have. Now if only I could find any 2Up of a GI Joe, that would be awesome.

SAW Viper Collection

So I realized that I have acquired quite a few cool pieces related to the SAW Viper. It didn’t start off because I loved the figure or anything like that, it just happened. I have the US release SAW Viper MOC, Chinese release MOC, Canadian release MOC, German release MOC, SAW Viper Prototype/test shot, and a DIC cartoon animation cel of the SAW Viper’s gun. It has been a goal of mine to try and collect every card variant and release of a character and it seems that SAW Viper will be the figure I collect, at least in the beginning. I know there are at least 2 UK card variants that I do not have yet (1 of the 2 I might be getting soon). I also would love information about other countries the SAW Viper might have been released in. If anyone knows I would appreciate the help. Here are the pics (minus the US release)

New Buys

So I bought a few new items: Eco Warriors Eco Striker MIB, an interesting 1987 Muskrat prototype with a Hydro-Viper arm. I don’t have it in hand yet, but it will certainly be interesting to see. I also picked up the 2011 SDCC Starscream MIB, and finally 4 Funskool Toxo-Vipers (Gotta keep building the Leaky Suit Brigade Army). I’m also mulling over another purchase, of a unproduced figure sketch from 1985, looks amazing, but I’m not certain what I want to pay for it.
