GI Joe Rise of Cobra Snake Eyes Un-used Toy Concept Art

I won this auction off of eBay. I wasn’t a huge fan of RoC, but that didn’t stop me from picking up this Snake Eyes concept art for an un-used sculpt, with those ugly lips and all! I’ll be framing this and putting it up in the man cave. I will also be doing an “art” week here. I have been focusing a lot lately on picking up original art from the toys, comics, and cartoons and I will be showing off all of the pieces I have recently picked up.

New Joes! Prototype Mock Up of Jungle Bat with GREEN Head!

Hey guys, I recently picked up several cool items. First, I grabbed the Hall of Fame edition Bat MIB as well as the FSS 1.0 Nano Bat. Second, I grabbed a super rare Jungle Bat Prototype/Mock-up with the prototype/unreleased green head! In addition, I also snagged a hand-painted bat proto with “HFE” written on him as well as another Bat prototype. Looks like I have started a little “run” of Bat prototypes now! Enjoy the pics!

IDW GI Joe #2 Original Art!

It is no secret that I am a fan of the IDW Joe comics. Recently I was able to score what I see as the iconic page from GI Joe Vol 3. Yes, I know it is only through the second issue, but I think this page will have a lasting effect/image on the series. I acquired the original pencil drawing of GI Joe #2, page #2 with Darklon, Firefly, Croc Master, and the Baroness looking badass and taking over the small town.

My Funskool Rock N Roll

So I have talked about this before, but there is an update to the story. When I bought the figure, the seller could only find 2 of the accessories, but he said he would continue to look for the other pieces. Well, he contacted me again saying he found 2 more accessories! He found the green “sonic” backpack and the green stand for the big gun. Sadly I don’t have the big gun but I might just place an ARAH version on it to replace it. I also put sonic in quotes because the backpack is not sonic at all. It seems that for the Funskool version they retooled the backpack, eliminating the sound part and replacing the rubber buttons with hard plastic painted yellow, in what seems like an attempt to mimic buttons. The Funskool version also eliminated the red lights that were at the top of the backpack, leaving 2 empty holes. It just got delievered so it is a little dirty, but take a look at the backpack and a reposted pic of the figure!

Another JP Figure Picture

Hey guys,

on the bottom of the JP package there is a yellow sticker covering up a picture of another dino and figure. The figure is the red head/eye patch figure that has been seen before. The yellow sticker makes me think it may not be part of the line…. But who knows. I certainly did not expect these things to hit stores already.

Here is the pic:

Found the Jurassic Park Figures at TRU!

So with the news that the JP figures were hitting retail in SoCal, I hit my local TRU on my lunch break and came away with a great haul! I picked up both JP figures, 5 Wave 2 figures, and a Skystriker! I really hope that the JP line includes the awe strikers as well as the other prototype figures that we have seen. I’m glad I waited on the prototypes.

Just Scored That Interesting eBay Auction!!!!

So earlier today I mentioned a secret interesting auction I found on eBay. I kept it close to the vest because this is the first time in about 3 years that I have seen this item for sale!  I scored the rare Funskool Lifelife yellow shirt/grey boots variant MOC! I have been checking eBay almost every day for this item. This figure has been high up on my target list for a long time because it is in the Tiger Force theme, one of my favorite sub-teams. I also picked up a MOC Funskool Eel from the same seller. I like the powder blue that this figure comes in. Can’t wait to see this in person! I also still have one more secret auction that I am waiting to pounce on, although it is more of a gamble.

More Joes and Comics!

So I have been on a comic buying streak lately. I picked up the Dead Pool comic, with the homage to GI Joe #21. But more related to Joe are these mini comics that I got as part of a giant collection I bought awhile back. I did not know much about them, but after some digging discovered they were included packed with Battle Corps 1992 figures.

There are 4 comics: Desert Dustup, Jungle Fury, Mountain Trouble, and Hijacked Heroes. I got all but, Mountain Trouble from this collection. So I went searching for the comic, and when I found them, they were priced really high, at least to me, at $30-50. That is when I stumbled upon an eBay auction for one with a MOC figure. Before that, I did not know how they were distributed. After a couple quick eBay searches I narrowed down the year (1992) and the specific line that they were packaged with (Battle Corps). I also discovered that the prices for the MOC figure including the comic were just $10-20. So, I picked up 5 MOC figures, one of each comic and then a second Mountain Trouble, so I can read it.

So for anyone looking to have “all” the comics and desperately needs these mini comics, go on eBay and search for ’92 Battle Corps MOC figures and they will all pop-up. Maybe not a Mountain Trouble at the moment, since I bought 2.
