GI Joe Weapon Transport Variants

Hey guys so as I pull back on the amount of purchases this month, I will be posting pictures of interesting items in my collection. First up are the 1985 Weapon Transport and its international variations. This vehicle is often over looked and that has made collecting it and variations of it easy to do. Below are pictures of the US release, the Argentina (Plastirama) release, and the India (Funskool) version. The US vehicle is on the far right of the pictures and is in an olive drab/green color. The light green variant is Funskool, and the dark/bright green is from Argentina. You may also notice that with the Funskool version, the wheels are black while the US and Argentina versions are more grey. They are all pretty affordable at about $15 each plus shipping. In my experience, the Funskool version was a little harder to come across.

MOC Major Bludd and MOC Plastirama Destro!

Both of these pieces will be arriving in the mail this week! First up is a MOC 1983 Major Bludd. The bubble has some lifting on the right side however, it is still attached and was an absolute steal at $37! I’ll take a little imperfection if it means I get it MOC and save several hundred bucks in the process.

Second, I grabbed a MOC Plastirama (Argentinian) Destro! The card is in GREAT shape for something from Argentina and as a bonus, it is unpunched! It is a much cheaper and easier buy then the US release Destro which runs $200-500 depending on condition.

Never Before Seen, One-of-a-Kind Funskool Canary Ann

This figure truly is one of the holy grails in terms of international GI Joe collecting. This is the first and only known example of Canary Ann. Until a few weeks ago, there was only a picture of her file card. This figure was privately sold. I didn’t have the cash on had to buy this, as I have been on quite the buying spree. However, I will be saving up and setting aside some cash for future grail finds such as this. I waited a couple weeks to show to hoping that the buyer would post pictures somewhere. I believe that things like this should be shown, there is absolutely no reason to hide stuff. So, I’m revealing it to everyone because no one else will.

Here is some background on this figure as well as the other figures it was released with. They were the free figures, that were given away on the purchase of ‘Complan Chocolate Health Drink’.

Their names:
Emerald Gung Ho/Zap – “Striker”.
Red/Purple Scrap Iron/Zap – “Cross Country”
Blue/Yellow Firefly/Short Fuse – ??
Red Baroness – “Rednok”
Yellow Lady Jaye – “Canary Ann”

Here are the first ever pictures (front and back) of Canary Ann, as well as the file card (front and back).

MISB Tiger Force – Tiger Paw

This new buy gets its own post because Tiger Force is my absolute favorite sub-team. Tiger Force is also the only set that I am collecting MOC and MIB. While I have a loose set of everything, I am still trying to acquire a MIB US Tiger Fly as well as a MIB US Tiger Sting. (I lost out on eBay for both of those at $192 and 189 respectively. Couldnt make myself bid higher than those amounts.) And until this afternoon, a US MIB Tiger Paw was also missing from my collection. Well I picked one of these up in a winning eBay auction, that I actually forgot to watch for the final seconds! AND as a bonus, I bought this one, right after I lost out on another one of these 2 days ago, where I made the unfortunate winner pay $138 for his (he just kept bidding and bidding), while the one I just won was a STEAL at $75 shipped! Enjoy! Oh I also have some awesome TF stuff on the way that I will post up when it arrives!

New Joes!!!

So I have done quite a bit of buying lately, as my posts indicate. I will be putting more purchases on hold for a bit. I want to save up for a big ticket item that I have had my eyes on for awhile. But first, as my latest buys come through I will post them up. First up, we have my very first Falcon Glider! I always wanted on of these as a kid, loved seeing them in to toon, but I was still a sperm when these babies came out. Picked it up complete with no serious damage. The right side has a little warping, but no tears and displays great! I also somehow managed to never get a RAM Motorcycle, so I also picked up a MLC one as well.

New Joes! Funskool, FSS and more!

I bought Iceberg, the Club Membership Figure carded from the store (there still might be some available) as well as the mystery 13th FSS figure Blackout! I also picked up an Argentinian Flash with his file card. I’ve included a second picture with the US release (on the right) to compare the difference in color. Finally, I also picked some rare Funskool figures! I grabbed Emerald Zap, Purple Ripper, Gung Ho and Lady Jaye! I had been looking for the Emerald Zap and Purple Ripper for awhile and got both for a good deal!

IDW Limited Danger Girl/GI Joe Black Label In-Hand Pictures!

I received by copy of IDW Limited’s Danger Girl/GI Joe Black Label Edition this past weekend! I am really happy with the book and I love the original art that I received! I will let the pictures do the talking on this one for the most part. The first picture are the freebies that were included with the pre-order, second/third are the front and back cover of the box, fourth is the folder housing the original art piece, followed by my 100% unique Jinx art! (it is shaded red and looks awesome!), sixth/seventh are the front and back covers of the book itself, followed by picutres of the signature page, vellum overlay and a “art of” section after the comics with the virgin covers as well as pull out full page art!

Just Bought a Batman Toy! (Sorta)

Well for the first time in 20 years, I bought a Batman toy. However, this one is still GI Joe related! In 2003/2004 (I think) Funskool in India, used the mold from the 1988 Cobra Stellar Stiletto for a Batman jet. I first heard of this about 6 months ago and I had been looking for it, but did not put much effort into it. But since I also recently picked up the Bronze Bombers 12-pack which used Joe molds I decided that I would check eBay today for the Batman Battle Jet and I randomly stumbled upon it and picked it up for $10!
